Witch Craft Potion Sort is a timed sorting game with a potion-making theme. The player performs work as a witch's assistant in a dark laboratory at night. Their only job is to move liquid potion ingredients to different bottles until each one contains a solid-color brew. They must complete this task before time runs out on a red horizontal timer bar. Their ultimate goal is to perform their job for as long as possible.
Above a black cauldron that has sparks floating into the air, the player receives two or more white-outlined bottles filled with mixed bands of colored liquid. They sort the bands across the bottles by either pouring a liquid into an empty bottle or a gap above another liquid.
The game automatically performs the transfer after the player makes their selections. If an empty area isn't big enough for all the liquid, it only transfers enough to fill the space. Unlike similar games, the player isn't penalized for transferring the wrong color. They can place any color in any available space. When they finish making a potion, sparks swirl around the bottle to indicate a chemical reaction while the liquid heats.
Witch Craft Potion Sort gives the player a little more time on the timer after they complete each potion. It also allows the player to continue to work after time runs out. They merely need to watch an advertisement video.
